Katherine Kemp

Katherine Louise Wilson Peeples Kemp, 83, of Waco passed away at home on Saturday, Jan. 19. 2008. She was born Sept. 25, 1924 in Drew, MS. She married Archie Eugene Peeples and from this union came son Robert, daughter Patricia, and son Richard Peeples. Her final marriage was to Professor Paul Z. Kemp.

Mrs. Kemp spent many years in Real Estate as a salesperson and broker. She was a long-standing member of the Order of the Eastern Star{O.E.S.},
Daughters of the American Revolution {D.A.R.}, Daughters of the Nile, and Colonial Dames XVII.

Her parents, Roger O. and Mittie Scott Wilson, her sister Agnes Simmons, her brother Robert Wilson, and her grandson Sean Lee preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Z. Kemp of Waco, a daughter, Patricia Peeples Lee and husband, Ronald of Waco; two sons, Robert Peeples and wife, Elizabeth of West Covina, CA and Richard Peeples and wife, Carolyn of Lorena; a brother, Roger Wilson and wife, Lonell of Waco; two sisters, Neil Weil Wiese of Waco and Marie Crawford; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

As per her request, no services will be held. Her remains will be cremated for later burial at Apache Creek, New Mexico.
