Katherine Lockhart

Mrs. Katherine O. Lockhart, aged 94, of Waco, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, in a Waco retirement center. Services will be Saturday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Marshall, pastor of First Baptist Church in Hewitt, officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mrs. Lockhart was born June 8, 1908, in Dallas to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Owens. She was a graduate of the Mary Hardin Baylor School of Nursing and was a RN. She served as a school nurse for many years.
She was married June 20, 1935, to John T. Lockhart. He passed away in 1986.
She has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Hewitt since 1978.
Survivors include her sons, Allen C. Lockhart and his wife Marcia of Bossier City, La., James R. Lockhart and his wife Tove of Seattle, Wa.; David L. Lockhart and his wife Becky of Waco; daughters, Betty Schroeder and her husband Jon on Houston, and Kathy Hutchison and her husband Weldon of Woodway; 15 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
