Katherine Yvonne Chase

Katherine (Kitty) Yvonne Chase was born March 13, 1957, to Bishop Floyd Williams and Christine Marie Watson. She was the second born child of that union. She was raised in church and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Katherine attended school in San Antonio, TX graduating from San Antonio Highlands High School where she was in the National Honor Society. She went to St. Philips Community College in San Antonio, TX. She later moved to Waco, TX in 1983 where she worked for the City of Waco and Brazos Electric Coop for 35 years. She enjoyed her time with Brazos where she made many lifelong friends. Kathy loved everyone she came in contact with, and always had a praise or a prayer in her heart. Most of all, she loved praising and worshiping her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Katherine married Stanley Chase in Waco, TX and had two children, Maurice and Yashmine. Her kids and grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed being with family and just having a beautiful time. Kitty died peacefully after a short battle with cancer. Her joy and presence was felt everywhere she went.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Chase; father, Floyd N. Williams; mother, Christine M. Andrews; brother, Eric C. Williams; and niece, Cherie L. Brown.

She leaves her lovely memory with her siblings, Cynthia Williams (Eugene) Edwards, Joyce (Bobby) Brown, Karen (Robert) Sutherland, Floyd (Everlyn) Williams, Christopher (DeShawn) Andrews, Wanda (Archie) Lee, Chris (Rosaline) Williams, Jarrell “Red” Williams, Utina (Jamell) Dials – Miller; Grandchildren, Ladreka Williams, Moses Chase, Daleah Miller, Jamarion Evans, Austin Hamilton, Modreka Chase, A’Mauria Chase; and many loving nephews and wonderful nieces, cousins, and friends; special love, Gerry Bradford, and special lifetime friends from Brazos Electric - The Steel Magnolias: Candace Denton, Dana Stieg, Sharon Kroskey, Robin King, and Vicki McDaniels.

Homegoing Services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 11:00 am, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 504 E, TX-340 Loop, Waco TX 76705.

Pallbearers will be, Willie Brooks, Kirk Brown, Vincent Bridgewater, Alvin Hamilton, David Shaw, and Shawron Demerson.
