Kathleen Elizabeth Sanders,87, of Waco, passed away Monday, September 20, 2004, at a Waco nursing facility. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Julie Pennington-Russell officiating.
Kathleen was born on August 24, 1917 in Hill County to Devoe D. and Julia (Byers) McAfee. She started teaching school in Aquilla and retired from Bell's Elementary school. Kathleen was a fifty year member of the Calvary Baptist Church here in Waco. She was in the Lydian Sunday school class.
She is survived by her son, Roger Sanders and wife Donna of Waco; grandchildren, Devin Sanders of Waco, Leigh Anne McDonald and husband Sean of Arlington and Keith Sanders of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Devin Sanders, Jr., Conner, Carson and Lauren McDonald
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Sanders in 1980.
