Kenneth Leo Bisson, 76, of China Spring, moved out of Janet's arms into God's presence on Monday, March 26, 2007 after a two-year battle with cancer.
Graveside services with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31 at Patrick Cemetery with Pastor Jimmie Johnson officiating.
Ken was born March 19, 1931 in Jamaica Plain, MA. to Armand and Ethel Bisson. Upon graduating high school, Ken enlisted in the Marine Corp. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired as T/Sgt in the U.S. Air Force in 1969. He married the former Janet Nickerson in 1962 and they moved to China Spring from Abilene in 1978.
Ken and Janet owned and operated Rock Creek City General Store and Café for many years and retired in 1994. Ken last worked security at Texas Farm Bureau and First Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marilyn and Sally of New Hampshire.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; stepson, Dan Brown of Milan, Italy; stepdaughter, Cathy Giannoumis of Waynesboro, PA; sons, Jon Edwin Bisson and Michael Brandon Bisson of Waco, and eight grandchildren.
