Kenneth Alexander Cox, Sr., beloved husband of Annie Faye Niswanger Cox, loving father of Kenneth Alexander Cox, Jr. and Cynthia Irene Cox Krzywonski and proud grandfather of Dwight Alexander Krzywonski, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005 after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Drew Wilson officiating. A brief committal service will follow in the Waco Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video of his life will be shown during the visitation.
Also surviving, and much loved by Mr. Cox, are other close family members: daughter-in-law, Patricia Cox; son-in-law, Dwight Krzywonski; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Karen Cox; sister-in-law, June Cox; niece, Keri Cox; nephews, Clifford Cox, Rodney Cox, Don Cox and Langley Cox, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death, and also dearly loved were father, Ed Cox; mother, Marjorie Cudd Cox Queen, brother, Clifford Cox, brother Raymond Cox, and nephew Wendell Cox.
Mr. Cox was a fifty-four year member of Parklake Drive Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, sang in the choir for many years, and attended faithfully until his illness. He was also a member of the Waco Scottish Rite.
He spent his career with Central Texas International, Incorporated and, in retirement, worked for seventeen years in the family business, Brazos Distributors, Inc.
Mr. Cox's great love was Faye who was devoted to him in the 55 years of their marriage and who cared for him faithfully in his illness.
Mr. Cox was a true hero to his wife and children and grandson. His humor and intelligence and thoughtful support of those he loved and exemplary sense of honor will be sorely missed by family, friends and former co-workers.
