Kevin Robert Finley, 44, of Waco, passed away tragically Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in Waco.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 3 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Van Vowell of Grace Temple Baptist Church and Pastor Danny Williams of Oasis Church in Roundrock officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Kevin was born October 10, 1964 in Marquette, Michigan to Robert Milton Finley and Charlotte Anderson Finley. Kevin and his family moved to Waco where he attended Waco public schools and graduated from Richfield High School in 1983. For the past 14 years, Kevin was employed as a mechanic at Ledford's Performance on Austin Avenue. He was dedicated to his work and was well liked by his customers, associates and employer. Kevin had been in the process for many years of restoring his 1969 Chevy Camaro.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Robert and Charlotte Finley of Waco; sons, Gage Simmons and Zane Finley both of Waco; daughter, Apala Finley of Waco; step-son, Noah Smith of Waco; brother, Kurt Finley and wife, Lisa of Hewitt; sister, Kari Jones and husband, Danny of Bruceville-Eddy; one granddaughter, Brodie Simmons of Waco; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
