Kristin A. Sheffy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kristin Aurise Sheffy, who left this world peacefully on March 18, 2025. Born on May 22, 1989, in El Paso TX, Kristin was a beacon of light and love throughout her life.

Kristin was a devoted wife to her husband, Matthew, for 8 wonderful years. Together, they cultivated a beautiful life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support. She was a nurturing mother to her two children, Kaylee and Addison, who were her pride and joy. Kristin’s warm embrace and encouraging words will forever echo in their hearts.

Kristin was an exceptional cook, known for her delicious meals that brought family and friends together. Her many meals made from scratch will be cherished in memories long after her passing. Kristin had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special. She was a true friend, always there with a kind word, a listening ear, or a helping hand. She loved to put her baking skills to work and bring the family together.

Her laughter was contagious, and her smile could brighten the darkest day. Kristin was passionate with an adventurous spirit who loved hiking or simply savoring the beauty of the world around her.

She was proceeded in death by grandfathers, Carlos Fernandez and Francisco Castaneda and grandmother, Guadalupe Fernandez.

She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew; two children, Addison and Kaylee; mother, Laura P. Contreras and husband, Victor; father, Thomas Castaneda and Pat Lara; brothers, Thomas Matthew and his wife Desiree, and James Patrick Castaneda; and grandmother, Augustina Castaneda. She was loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins that helped shape her into an incredible woman.

While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort knowing that Kristin’s spirit lives on in the love and kindness she imparted to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
