Larry E. Ayres, 74, of Woodway, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015. At his request, no services will be held.

Larry was born November 7, 1940 in Fresno, Calif., to Walter and Stella Ayres. He was a born and bred California boy who moved to Waco in 2000. He was employed by Genco Federal Credit Union until his retirement in 2013. He was a past member of the Bellmead Lions Club, where he made many wonderful friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Candice Ayres; his loving son, Robert Ayres and wife, Deeanna; two beautiful granddaughters, Maddison and Katelyn, all of Woodway. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Ayres and wife, Barbara of Richardson; and his brother-in-law, Michael Hataway and wife, Connie of Woodway.

The family extends special thanks to Providence Hospice, especially Gay, Ann, and Becky for all of their support.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Providence Hospice of Waco.
