Layne Qualls

Layne Maxwell Qualls, of Waco, passed away at his home on Monday, September 22, 2014. His memorial service will take place at 2pm on Saturday, September 27, at Oak Crest Funeral Home. Mike Richardson will be officiating.

Layne was born September 30, 1986, in Waco, Texas to Eddie and Donna Qualls. He grew up in Waco, where he was a student, double majoring in Instrumentation and Electrical Power and Control. He excelled in his studies and was a member of the Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa.

On December 13, 2013, he married his best friend Jennifer Phelps, with whom he shared a beautiful daughter, Layla, who was born on March 8, 2011. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Layne’s main joy in life was his family. He will always be remembered for his warmth, his sense of humor, and for his genuine concern for those he loved and who loved him. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer and his daughter, Layla, both of Waco; parents, Eddie Qualls and Donna Qualls; brothers, Lance Qualls and his wife, Lyndsey, and Lee Qualls and his wife, Kristina; two nephews, one niece, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous other family members and friends.
