Leon C. "Crow" Tovar of Waco passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at St. Catherine's Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Leon was born April 11, 1935 in Delia, Texas to George and Maria (Chavez) Tovar. He worked for 45 years running his own business of Tovar Carpets. Leon was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching them on TV, he enjoyed going to WinStar Casino in Oklahoma and catching up with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond Tovar, Joe Tovar, Bill Tovar and R.H. Tovar; Sisters, Augustina Valdez, Delia T. Garcia and Juanita Tovar.
Leon is survived by his son; Jesse D. Tovar and Linda of Waco, TX; daughters; Judy Valles and Victor of Irving, TX and Belinda Mariscal and Eddie of Irving, TX. Leon is survived by the mother of his children; Ann Alonzo of Oak Cliff, TX. Leon is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Frankarlos Tovar, Jesse Tovar Jr., David Tovar, Nicholas Tovar, Aaron Tovar Mariscal, and George Tovar.
