Leonarda Wages

Leonarda Aleman Wages, 80, of Waco, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013. Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Christus Chapel at St. Catherine’s, 300 W. Highway 6, by Father Syril Ejaidu. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Leonarda graduated from LaVaga High School in 1952. After attending Four C College, she was office manager for Buchanan Laundry for 20 years. She enjoyed singing, and loved her family especially her nephews and nieces. She enjoyed her visits to the Harrison Center, arts and crafts, music, recipes, and family genealogy. We will miss our beloved Leona. We share comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Dolores Aleman; children, Jonathan and Wanda Wages; brother, Paul Aleman; and sisters, Isabel Avila and Esperanza Aleman.

Cherishing her memory are her brothers, Joe Aleman and wife, Candelaria of Waco and John Aleman and wife, Jeanie of Houston, and her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
