Linda Hughes

Linda Gayle Hughes, 75, of Waco, Texas entered into the Heavenly Kingdom on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Linda was born on November 22, 1947, in Waco, Texas to Harley and Carrie (Shelton) Fogle. She was a loving daughter, outstanding student, wife, mother, grandmother, and a wonderful friend to all she met.

She graduated high school and received her L.V.N. degree from McLennan Community College. She loved her family, and her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her late husband of forty years and father of her children, James Darrell Miller; her parents; son, William “Scooter” Miller; brother, David Ashby; and niece, Cindy Barron.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of ten years, Douglas (Doug) Allen Hughes; granddaughter, Chelsea N. Leathers and husband, Dale; sisters, Nancy Martindale and husband, Paul, and Frances Cummings; great grandchildren, Jett William Leathers, Gavin Albert Leathers, and Ellie James Leathers; daughter-in-law, Jenny Mortimer and husband, Ross; and sister-in-law, Teresa Lucas and husband, Steven.

Pallbearers are Dale Leathers, Steven Lucas, John Cloer, Ross Mortimer, Wesley Mortimer, and Keith Monroe.
