The Rev. Lloyd Daily, 77 of Waco, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday Nov. 25, 2005 after a recent heart attack.
Services will be at 10 AM Tuesday Nov. 29 at the OakCrest Funeral Home with burial in Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Duane Hoxworth officiating.
Family visitation will be Monday Nov. 28 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
Lloyd is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 56 years, Betty L. Daily and his children, Gary and wife Teresa Daily of McKinney, daughter Paula and husband Craig Harper of Frisco and Scott and wife Lisa Daily of Waco; sister, Dorothy Marshall, Brothers Oscar, Weldon & Royce Daily; grandchildren, Gary Daily Jr., Stephen Harper, Aaron Daily, Jordan Daily, Jennifer Harper, Cameron Daily and Megan Daily.
Lloyd's passion was serving God and ministering to others. He did so everyday.
Lloyd was born in West to Perry T. & Chlorine M. Daily. He graduated from Waco High School and Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie. He retired from General Tire Co. after 32 years.
He was a member of Praise Temple Assembly of God. He pastored Bosqueville Assembly of God and for 17 years he ministered at Jeffrey Place Healthcare Center.
He held Sunday church services for the residents and was always ready for a game of dominos.
He was very active in his community. He served on the Planning & Zoning board for the City of Waco. He was past president of his neighborhood association as well as Friends of Waco High Schools.
He and Betty were guests of then Governor George Bush at his second inauguration in Austin and in 2001 they attended President Bush's inaugural gala in Crawford.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and special family friend, Jonathan Trower.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Brown, Ralph Dugger, Robert Clendennan, Ray Harper, Warren Litzman, Sam Monzingo and Jerry Watson.
The family is thankful to all of the special Hillcrest nurses who cared for him. They ask in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The American Heart Association.
