Lois Beatty

Lois DeVaney Beatty, 96, of Waco died Monday, September 1, 2003 at a local care center.

Services will be Thursday, 10:30 A.M. at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will be in the Waco Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial videotape of her life will be shown continuously during visitation.

Lois was born on February 23, 1907 in Foreston, Texas to Charles and Guilia (Wagnon) DeVaney. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lakeshore Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Charles Robert Beatty and wife June of Hewitt; daughter, Wanda Shilling of Waco; grandsons, Steve Beatty and wife Linda of China Spring, Stan Shilling of Waco, Coke Beatty and wife Mitzi of Stephenville; granddaughters, Nancy Mullens and husband Steve of Riesel, Kelly Ann Parnell and husband Mike of Hewitt and Kimberly West and husband Robert of Woodway; 12 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-grandchild.
She dedicated her life to her children and church.
