Lorene Garland Green, 95, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Lake Shore Dr. Church of Christ with Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Palo Pinto Cemetery, Palo Pinto, TX. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Clota Lorene Green was born January 27, 1919 to W.O. and Anne (Price) Christian in Whitt, TX. Lorene was married to John X Garland for thirty-one years until his untimely death in 1970. She was subsequently married to Wiley Green who also preceded her in death. She resided for many years in Garland Bend near Possum Kingdom Lake before moving to Waco. Lorene was a faithful member of Lakeshore Dr. Church of Christ. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Eura Mae Harris.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Gail Garland of Waco and
three granddaughters and their families, Scott and JoAnna Marshall, Bailey
Marshall and Abby Marshall of Rockwall; Dianna Garland of Houston; and Paul
and Lynna Cherry, John Paul Cherry, Kate Cherry and Grace Cherry of San Antonio;
and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fosters Children’s Home, 1779 N Graham St, Stephenville, TX 76401.
