Louis Henry Miller, 89, passed away December 29, 2014 (only a few hours before his 90th birthday) in Waco, Texas.

Louis was born December 30, 1924 in Waco, Texas to Herman and Mary Engelke Miller. He attended Waco High School, and at the age of 17, against his mother's wishes, volunteered in 1943 in WWII serving as a Merchant Marine. After the war was over, Louis came home to Waco and married Katy Alexander in 1946. Louis served as a Waco fireman from 1952 until retiring in 1988. Louis was a 33rd degree Mason. Louis loved to travel both the United States and Worldwide with his wife Katy. He had a very generous spirit and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Katy Miller, son, William Louis Miller, daughter-in-law, Kathryn Miller; nephew Jerry Glenn Miller and wife Maizie; and several nieces and nephews.
