Louise was born December 13, 1918 to Nelia Elizabeth Barton Boles and Clark Cecil Boles in Leagueville, Texas. She was the eldest child of five girls. She was expected to help take care of the home and her younger siblings. Louise accepted Christ as her Savior and Lord at the age of 12. She developed a personal relationship with Jesus and turned to Him for guidance throughout her life in many challenging times.
Louise was educated in Dallas, Texas, graduating from Forest Avenue High School Summa Cum Laude. She received a scholarship to Hockaday School for Girls. Louise also worked at Sears and Roebuck in downtown Dallas. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed riding bicycles around White Rock Lake too.
Louise met Charles Keith McClure while in High School and they married December 25, 1938. After World War II, Louise and Charles owned a café in Van Horn, Texas before moving to Brownsboro, Texas where they owned a drugstore. They settled in Waco in 1955 where they made a home for 66 years and raised their two girls. Louise was devoted to her family and was an incredible cook. Everyone looked forward to coming to her home where she made each one feel special. She honored her mother and father and loved family gatherings with her sisters and their families. She was a Brownie Leader, Homeroom Mother, an avid bridge player and reader. She also loved everything pertaining to Christmas. Louise made sure her daughters were provided every advantage to succeed while exploring their full potential. She was always proud of their accomplishments and ready to celebrate them in any way she could. Her self-sacrifice was inspiring. Louise, “Tuweez”, loved her grandchildren and great- grandchildren with an overflowing heart. She loved to play and giggle with them. They could always count on a good time with her, unconditional love, encouragement and a listening ear. Louise was an optimistic realist, so she saw things as they were and set an exemplary model with her unwavering integrity.
She started her own Cleaning Business for newly built homes in 1964 working for several prominent builders throughout the Waco area. She retired in 1992. She loved to work and was genuinely interested in the lives of everyone she met. Louise volunteered for many causes and ministries. She was active in her Sunday School Class and exercise class at Western Heights Baptist Church. Louise was a people person and loved interacting with her family and friends. She brought her zeal for living, her love for people, and her deep faith in Christ everywhere she went. She chose joy everyday no matter the circumstance and it was evident to all who interacted with her. Louise possessed the gift of discernment and read people soon after meeting them.
