Louise M. Shelton, 85 passed away Friday, December 5, 2014. Services will be 1 pm, Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Dorrell officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Louise McCarter Shelton was born March 6, 1929 in Jacksonville, TX to J.D. and Ellen Box McCarter. She was a graduate of Waco High and a faithful member of Columbus Ave. Baptist Church. Louise was a past leader of a Bible Study Fellowship group. Louise loved to play piano, paint, and travel, especially to Colorado. She also loved her dogs Pepe and Sammy. Most all she loved her beautiful family, especially her one and only grandson, David. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Shelton; and parents, J.D. and Ellen McCarter.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Kristie Callis and husband, Bryant; grandson, David Johnson and wife, Letti; great granddaughters, Kylie and Madysen Johnson.
