Louise Dees Tynes
October 21, 1921 to August 3, 2007
Louise Dees Tynes, age 85, of Waco, passed away Friday, August 3, 2007.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Gray officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Louise was born in Rogers to Ben and Annie (Gibson) Dees. She was a beautician who operated her own shop in Waco for 40 years, then worked at St. Catherine's until she retired two years ago.
She remembered being with her husband, Jesse, in downtown Waco during the 1953 tornado. She was a member of the former Cottonwood Baptist Church.
A loving wife and mother, Louise enjoyed her many friends, and liked to play bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Tynes, in 1970; her parents; sister, Duwana; and brother, Monroe.
She is survived by her son, Luther Ben Tynes and wife, Barbara of Waco; sister, Thelma Knight and husband Carl of Waco; and brother, Thomas Dees and wife Virginia of North Carolina.
