Lucille Roberts
August 10, 1911 - January 4, 2010
Lucille " Gingaw" Roberts, 98 of Waco joined her daughter, granddaughter, and great granddaughters in Heaven Monday January 4, 2010. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mrs. Roberts was born August 10, 1911 in Quanah, Texas to Charles Lewis Clay Jr. and Josephine Kraft Clay. She was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church, a graduate of Baylor University and a retired school teacher having taught 1st Grade at South Waco Elementary and Meadowbrook Elementary for a combined 37 years. Mrs. Roberts loved cooking, baking and published a Blue Ribbon Cook Book.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband Charles Roberts, daughter Betty Brown, granddaughter Becky Burgin and great granddaughters Ashley and Heather.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by daughter Bobbie Bradley and husband Bill of Dublin; grandchildren Bob Brown and wife Debbi, Barry Brown and wife Diane, Brad Brown and wife Shirley, Kelly Jakubik and husband Jason, Terri Willingham and husband Joe, Luann Johnson and husband Cody; numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
