Lucille Mary Schreiber Stahl, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2006, in Waco.

Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 25, at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.

The rosary will be recited at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1401 Washington Avenue, Waco.

The Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Irudayaraj Thomas as celebrant will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, followed by interment at Waco Memorial Park North.

Lucille was born June 15, 1920, in Windthorst, Texas to T. A. and Clara Schreiber. She married Joe Stahl in 1949, and they had six children. She was a loving, wonderful mother and devoted wife. Joe and Lucille started the Flying Heart Ranch in Waco over 40 years ago and have operated it since then.

She was warm and compassionate, and she gave of her time generously to her family, church, and community.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Women's Guild, and she volunteered at St. Regis Retirement Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Josephine Schreiber and Sister M. Clare Schreiber C.C.V.I.; and brothers, the Rev. Albert M. Schreiber O.S.B., Ernest Schreiber, and John Schreiber.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Stahl; daughter, Clara Ann Norman and husband, Stephen; son, Paul Stahl and wife, Raifen; daughter, Patricia Lentz and husband, Garry; son, Albert Stahl and wife, Julie; son, Leo Stahl and wife, Lucy; daughter, Rosemary Ray and husband, Tom; sister, Helen Mathews; 18 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Special thanks go to the staff of Wesley Woods and Providence Hospice.

Memorials may be made to Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center, 1700 Woodgate Drive, Waco, Texas (TX) 76712.

Pallbearers will be Robert Stahl, Emmette Craver, Bill Golding, Albert Stahl, Leo Stahl, and Stephen Norman.
