Lucinda T. Jahn passed away November 24, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at Oakcrest Funeral Home in Waco Texas on Saturday, December 10th at 10:00 am.
Cindy Jahn was born November 28, 1957, in Hersey, Pennsylvania. She was the second of four children. She moved to Texas so her father could work at Texas Instruments. She also spent two years in Munich, Germany where her father got a job.
Cindy graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas Texas; she earned her College Education from Texas Women’s University. Degree; Bachelor of Science, Major: Music Therapy. Sam Houston state University degree: Special Education, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Certificate: Educational Diagnostician. This education led her to a career with the McLennan COOP in McGregor Texas for 19 years.
Cindy Loved music. She played a very complex Rachmaninoff piano concert at North Park in Dallas, Texas. That is why she majored in Music Therapy, so she could help kids at Mexia State School. She also taught music Therapy at Dripping Springs in Waco. Cindy enjoyed her time at Waco Center for Youth at North 19th and Park Lake where she did several Musical Programs with the students there. She also taught Special Education at Kendrick Elementary. Cindy put all her talents together at Heart of Texas COOP in McGregor, Texas.
Cindy loved her cats Spooky and Squeaky, Cindy liked to travel to Germany, England, and France.
Her and her husband took trips to Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. California, Yellowstone National Park, Iowa. They all had a good time. Everyone will miss her. Now she is with Jesus.
Cindy is survived by her husband for over forty years Phil Jahn married at First Methodist of Waco October 9, 1982. son Matthew Jahn, wife Ara, granddaughter Odessa (3 years old), mother-in-law Norma Jahn, brother-in-law, Tim Jahn of Sugarland, Texas, wife Lisa, Their son Brandon, niece Casey Villers of Garland Texas, brother Todd, wife Sarah of Medford Oregon, brother-in-law Brian Burt of Ledyard, Iowa, nieces and nephews: Jamie, Husband Juan Salazar of Euless, Texas, Jasmine, Husband Thomas Williams of Freeport, Florida; Randi Thomas of Arvada, Colorado; Sarah, husband Pete Anuario of Dallas Texas, Missy Dagestad of Estherville husband Bryant, Iowa Donnie Renfrow of Ft. Worth Texas
She was preceded in death by her son Andrew Jahn, nephew Chander Jahn, sister-in-law Karen Villers, father-in-law Stanley L. Jahn, brother James Thomas, sister Dawn Burt and parents Philip and Lillie (Longreen) Thomas.
