Lupe T. Perez

Lupe T. Perez of Waco passed away Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She decided to stop dialysis, her words "I've beyond lived my life. Time to go home."

Lupe was born in Rosebud, TX to father Rutilio Torres (passed) and mother Francisca Torres (passed) on October 20, 1937. Lupe moved to Waco many years ago. Lupe married Jose F Perez in 1967. Jose and Lupe provided for their six kids and four grandkids. She was a strong God-fearing woman, who taught us how to pray, to believe, and to always ask "in Jesus name". She attended the Church of the Good Shepherd, where she was a member for 40+ years. She always had advice for those who would listen.

She was preceded in death by brother, Ray Torres, and sisters, Juana Lopez, Virginia Martinez, and Alice Salazar. Lupe is survived by sister, Maria Davila; brothers, Roy Torres and Bobby Torres, daughters, Connie and husband, Tony Ramos, Joann and husband, Johnny Deleon, and Diana and husband, Polo Gomez; sons, Tony and wife, Leonor Torres, Joe Rosales, and Frankie and wife, Lillian Perez; grandkids, Domingo and wife, Rhonda Torres, Steven and wife, Lisa Torres, Lisa and late husband, David Mendoza, and Charles Torres.

Mom loved her family beyond words and prayed for everyone. Mom was able to reach her 6th generation. 6 Kids, 30 Grandkids, 93 Great Grandkids, 90 Great Great Grandkids, 1 Great Great Great Grandchild.

Special thanks to her favorite nurses Melissa and Crystal, and her caregiver, Dawn Menefee. We want to also give a thank you to Community Healthcare of Texas.
