Lyddia Faye Busch Brisby, 55, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. March 23, at Oakcrest Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Riesel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home. A memorial video honoring her life will be shared during the visitation.
Lyddia was born February 24, 1952 in Hico. She worked for many years at Bluebonnet Café in Waco and made many dear and loving friends. She loved to go to the races and read books.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul E. and Frances (cox) Busch and a niece, Julianne Busch.
She is survived by a son, Randy John Brisby of Waco; granddaughter, Sydnee Nicole Brisby of Axtell; sister, Francene Busch of Waco; three brothers, Vernon Busch and wife, Freddie of Golinda, Ronnie and wife Teresa of Elm Mott, and Leslie Busch of Waco; step-mother, Mary Chandler of Waco; step-sisters, Melonie Normandin and Dava Butler; many nieces and nephews she loved dearly; and a lifetime family friend who was like a brother, Donald Chaffin.
Pallbearers will be Randy John Brisby, Michael Busch, Leslie Busch, Jr., Jeff Sherpperd, Robert Ketcher and Joseph Busch. Honorary pallbearer will be Joseph Busch.
Special thanks to Janet Busch and Joan (Stormy) for the loving care of Lyddia in her last year of illness.
