Lydia Ponce Rocha, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, followed by Memorial Services at 11:30 a.m. at Seventh & James Baptist Church, 612 James Street, Waco, by Dr. Raymond Bailey, pastor.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Lydia was born April 11, 1926 in Waco to Frank and Lillie (Leal) Ponce. She worked faithfully at Nutone Cleaners for over 30 years, and was a loyal member of Seventh & James Baptist Church for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by husband, Raul Rocha; son, Arthur (Toodie) Rocha; brother, Frank Rocha; and sister, Dora Castanon.
She leaves daughter-in-law, Irene Rocha Sanchez and Daniel Marquez; grandchildren, Michelle Jimenez and husband, Marcelo, Shay Rocha, Erica Clayburn and husband, Tyrone, Crystal Contreras, and Zina Sanchez; great grandchildren, Randy and Chelsea Tovar, Jessica and Felicia Salazar, Eric and Amaya Clayburn, Jakobe Williams, and Kyleigh and Elijah Hernandez; sister-in-law, Eva Ponce; nieces and nephews, Ollie Ponce, Sandra Fuentes and husband, Oscar, and Jay Ponce and wife, Jeanie.
