Ma. Concepcion De Lares

Maria Lares, also known as “Conchita” passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 14, 2023.

She was born on December 8, 1949 in Los Delgados, Rio Grande Zacatecas to Sebastian Delgado and Carmen Fernandez. Maria was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt and friend.

Maria lived in Rio Grande when she met her life companion, her husband, Bonifacio Lares. They married on October 13, 1965. Years later they moved to Ciudad Acuña Coahuila before making Waco their home. Maria was a very loving and devoted mother and wife who loved her faith.
Maria was faithful to God and attended church regularly and became known as “La Hermana Lares” She was an active member of her church and community.

One thing that will be missed by many is her voice singing “Feliz Feliz cumpleaños” on each family member’s birthday.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents Sebastian Delgado and Carmen Fernandez and son Raul Lares.

Maria is Survived by her husband of 57 years, Bonifacio Lares, Brothers; Inocente, Benito, Pablo, Juan, Alfredo, Gilberto and sisters; Elvira and Teodora, her sons; Lino, Jose, Gregorio and Daniel, daughters; Josefina, Maribel, and Blanca, her grandchildren; Lino Jr. Michael, Erica, Gerardo, Brisa, Dalila, Fabian, Melissa, Lizbeth, Gustavo, Christian, Abraham, Adam, Alyssa, Gregorio Jr., Xavier, Isaiah, Catalina, Kaylie, Cassandra, Karissa, Sergio Jr., Marlene, Natalie, Leslie, Adriana, Mariana, Jasmine, Daniel Jr., Matthew and Isaac, her great-grandchildren; Erin, Calixto, Adah, Aydrien, Josiah and Levi, her son-in-law Sergio and daughters-in-law; Ana, Yolanda and Tabitha, her brother-in-law Alberto and Sisters-in-law; Teresa and Maria, many nephews, nieces and church brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers; sons Lino, Jose, Gregorio, Daniel and grand-sons Lino Jr., Fabian, Gregorio Jr. and Christian.
