Mack Bennett

Mack Lynn Bennett, age 83, of Hewitt, passed away on October 9, 2023, in Temple, TX.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., October 16, 2023, at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco, Tx 76710.

He was born on October 3, 1940, to Mack and Ora Lee Bennett in Tyler, TX. Mack graduated high school
in Tyler before going on to continue his education attending Tyler Junior College and later to Baylor
University earning his degree in business. He worked in the banking industry for several years before
changing career paths and entering law enforcement. Mack was a bounty hunter along with being a
peace officer within many different aspects of the law. He retired in 2022 after 20 plus years in law
enforcement.

Mack was preceded in death by his son, Mack O. Bennett and grandson, Brandon Bennett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Floy Dean Bennett and many other loving family members
including his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
