Lillian Madeline Kosler, 94 years strong, went to be with Jesus May 15, 2023. Born in San Antonio December 20, 1928, her family moved her at a young age to Waco where she lived most of her life.
After graduating from Waco High, she worked a full career for the Veterans Administration. She was faithful at St. Louis Catholic Church where she attended mass regularly, read scriptures at mass, served as a Eucharistic minister, and volunteered in various ministries. A lifelong member of Altrusa International, she served both locally and internationally. She was on the board of the Earle-Napier-Kinnard House and volunteered there and at many other community organizations.
Madeline was predeceased by her mother, Bertha Rose Baker; brother, David Clinton Poole, Jr.; and stepfather John Chesley Baker.
She is survived by her nieces, Raquel Poole Young (husband John) and Darla Poole Tolliver (husband Brent); great-nieces Abigail Rebekah Young, Zoe Renee Tolliver and Emma Charlotte Young; great-nephew Hadyn Cole Tolliver; and sister-in-law Charlotte Ann Pate.
Her love, generosity, kindness, good humor, fun spirit, and sense of adventure will live on in the memories of her family and friends. Mass will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. Funeral guests are encouraged to wear bright colors to celebrate her beautiful life and her sense of style.
