Mamie Ayala Pecina, 71, of Waco, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, July, 26, with Rosary Service at 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mamie was born May 17, 1945 in Waco to John and Nata (Monrial) Ayala. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a devoted member of St. Francis Church serving in many capacities.
Mamie met and married Avelino D. Pecina and they were married until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janie Saldivar.
Mamie is survived by her loving husband; daughter, Angela P. Cade and husband Donald; sons, Timothy Pecina and wife Jennifer, and Eric Pecina and wife Jacilyn, all of Waco; grandchildren, Daneta, and Ariel Cade, Alijah, Izaiah, and Prisais Pecina, and Eric, Jr., Avery, Nuthaniel, Avelino, Elena, Ulyzabeth, Aviel, and Konsuntean Pecina; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Kiyana, Alessa and Jariea Cade; sisters, Pearl Hernandez and Mildred Montalvo; brothers, Tom Ayala, Freddy Ayala, and Rudy Ayala, Sr.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
