Manuel Hernandez Lopez passed peacefully at his home on Friday evening, February 21, 2025.
He was born in Satin, Texas on April 19, 1938, as the son of Alcario and Anita Lopez. On April 28, 1962 Manuel was united in marriage to Juanita “Janie” Loredo. Manuel retired from Davis Iron Works after 30 years as a Press Brake Operator. He was a devoted member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Waco, Texas and served as a Eucharistic minister.
Manuel was preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie and Pete Lopez, and sisters, Mary Rodriguez and Rosie Lopez.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Janie Lopez, sisters, Maggie Hernandez and Josie Vanegas; sons, Henry Lopez and Mary DeLeon, Bobby Lopez and wife Elva, Manuel Lopez and wife Stella, and Steve Lopez and wife Karen; grandchildren, Joseph Lopez and wife Katie, Adam Lopez and wife Deadra, Andrea Lopez, Kelsey Dorsey and husband Michael, Sienna Lopez, Victoria Lopez and fiancé Hunter, and Brooklyn Lopez; and great-grandchildren, Lyrik Lopez, Kinsey, Kara, and Kourtlynn Lopez, and Ruben and Judah Dorsey. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Marcell Salas and husband Joe, as well as many dear nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog Max.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Right At Home Healthcare, Janie Jimenez, and Leslie Musick for care of Manuel during his time of need.
Pallbearers are Joseph Lopez, Adam Lopez, Samuel Salas, Ashton Salas, Joe Salas, and Leon Andrade.
