Manuel Pargas Vega “Manolo” falleció el 18 de diciembre de 2024 en Waco, TX, rodeado de su familia.

Manuel nació el 30 de diciembre de 1970 en San Blas - Villa de Cos, Zacatecas, México, hijo de Rubén Pargas y Aurora Vega.

Siendo el hijo menor, emigró a los Estados Unidos cuando tenía 19 años en busca del sueño americano de un futuro mejor y para ayudar a su familia. Conoció a su esposa, Martha Ruiz, en 1993.
Manuel fue un gran esposo, padre, abuelo, hijo, hermano, tío y amigo.

“Manolo” era un hombre fuerte, alegre y trabajador que centraba su vida en la familia, especialmente en sus nietos, en el trabajo y en los viajes con su amada esposa.

“Manolo” era muy conocido por su humor, su disposición a ayudar a los demás y su risa contagiosa.

A Manuel le sobreviven su esposa, Martha Ruiz; hijos, Rubén Pargas y José Pargas y su esposa, Tabitha Pargas y sus hijos, Adelynn Mila Pargas y Leandro Pargas; su hija, Sulema Pargas y su esposo, Andrew Escobedo y sus hijos, Emiliano Escobedo y el esperado bebé; los hermanos Guadalupe Pargas, Israel Pargas y Pedro Pargas; las hermanas, Lorena Pargas y Blanca Pargas; junto a un sinnúmero de primos, sobrinos y sobrinas.

El velorio será el jueves 26 de diciembre de 2024 de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. en OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón, 2621 Bagby Ave, el viernes 27 de diciembre de 2024 de 12:00 p.m. a 1:00 p.m. y el entierro seguirá en el cementerio de Oakwood.




Manuel Pargas Vega “Manolo” passed away on December 18, 2024 in Waco, TX, surrounded by his family.

Manuel was born on December 30, 1970 in San Blas - Villa de Cos, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Ruben Pargas and Aurora Vega.

Being the youngest son, he immigrated to the U.S when he was 19 in search of the American dream for a better future and to help his family. He met his wife, Martha Ruiz in 1993.

Manuel was a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

“Manolo” was a strong, happy and hard-working man who centered his life on family, especially his grandchildren, work and traveling with his beloved wife.

“Manolo” was well known for his humor, willingness to help others, and infectious laugh.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Martha Ruiz; sons, Ruben Pargas and Jose Pargas and his wife, Tabitha Pargas and their kids, Adelynn Mila Pargas and Leandro Pargas; daughter, Sulema Pargas and her husband, Andrew Escobedo and their kids, Emiliano Escobedo and expected baby boy; brothers, Guadalupe Pargas, Israel Pargas, and Pedro Pargas; sisters, Lorena Pargas and Blanca Pargas; along with countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2621 Bagby Ave, on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
