Marcella Ann Geisler, age 69, of Waco, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2008, in Providence Hospital, Waco, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at St. Louis Catholic Church by Msgr. Mark Deering assisted by Rev. Patrick Adejoh.
Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by Msgr. Deering. A memorial video honoring her life will be shown during the visitation time.
Marcella was born on September 14, 1938 in Aquilla to Emil and Mary (Karlik) Gerik. She graduated from Aquilla High School with honors in 1957.
She studied as a lab and x-ray technician and worked in the medical field for many years. She married Robert "Bob" Geisler on November 9, 1963 and they resided in Waco during their marriage of 47 years. They lived a good and happy life together. She was a longtime member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Leona Hanzelka.
Survivors are her husband, Bob; two brothers, Edwin Gerik and wife, Dorothy of Whitney, and Jerry Gerik and wife, Martha of Aquilla; six sisters, Mary Trice of Waco, Edith Cernosek and Betty Bledsoe of West, Margie Goldberg and husband, Norman of Waco, Lucille Lednicky and husband, Jerome of West, Nancy Stenseth and husband, Paul of Grand Forks, N.D.; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends, and a very caring and loving caregiver, Angelica Martinez and her family for which the family is very grateful.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the charity of your choice.
