Margie Crider

Margie Smith Crider, 87, of Waco, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, at a local care center. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to come pay their respects between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Margie was born November 4, 1919 in Waco to Charlie S. and Addie Bell (Watkins) Smith. She married Langston Crider August 14, 1939. She had owned and managed Redwood Trailer Park in Rockport from 1963 until 1995 when she retired.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband on December 7, 1999.

Margie is survived by her sister, Ann Hunt of Waco; brother, W.D. (Doyle) Smith of Waco; special nephew and caregiver, Mike Smith of Waco; nieces,Jennifer Denny and partner Tom Mason of Wichita, KS and Sylvia Terry and husband Robert of Houston; nephew, Roger Smith and wife Pam of Waco and Kenneth Yett and wife Mildred of Waco, and additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
