Margie Geir, 56, of Hewitt, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 27, 2008 at Providence Health Center.
Cremation was arranged through OakCrest Funeral Home.
Margie was born September 21, 1951 in Austin to David Schrieber and Rosa Lea Reveile Schrieber. She was educated in Austin area schools. She met Richard Dale Geir in Austin and they were married on November 19, 1977. Margie owned and operated Addastitch Embroidery in Bastrop. She retired in 2004. It was then that she and Richard bought a motor home and began traveling. Often, they would travel up and down Interstate 35 and make their way to North Dakota to visit Richard's family. They had many memorable journeys and met so many wonderful people. In 2007, they decided to settle in Hewitt.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Richard Geir; sister, Janice Mossner of Lockhart; brother, Karl Mossner of Round Rock; nieces, Christa Jenkins of Hewitt and Brittney Mossner of Austin; nephew, Kaleb Mossner of Austin; several uncles, aunts and cousins.
In lieu of floral arrangements, memorials may be directed to the American
Cancer Society in her memory.
