Margie Johnson
Margie Johnson, 87, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Waco. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery.
Margie was born March 11, 1923 in Waco to Lee Whitlock and Pearl Grusendorf Whitlock. She attended Waco schools and survived the 1953 Waco tornado. Margie had a heart of gold and was known for her love of baseball, especially her beloved Houston Astros. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Johnson: twin sons, Ronald and Donald Johnson; sisters, Virginia Kelly and Annie Coskrey.
Margie is survived by her daughters, Claudia Bernardi of Spring and Patricia Jakubik and husband, Clinton of Waco; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three nephews and two nieces that were like her own.
