Maria Guadalupe “Lupita” Soriano

Lupita Soriano passed from this life and entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be as follows: Tuesday, February 22nd, 7:00 p.m., at the OakCrest Funeral Home located at 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco, Texas, and Wednesday, February 23rd, 10:00 a.m., at First Spanish Assembly of God located at 3301 Clay Avenue, Waco, Texas. Burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Lupita was born September 4, 1966, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Candelario and Natividad Tapia. In February of 1982 she married the love of her life, Itiel Soriano. Together they built and shared a wonderful life with their four children, Moises, Abraham, Natividad, and Cesiah.

She was a dedicated wife who supported her husband in all aspects of his pastoral ministry. As a mother, she devoted herself to raising her children and was more than happy to be a central figure in their lives. Anyone who knows them knows that she was a star in their eyes. She was an exceptional grandmother who proudly boasted about her grandchildren and made it a point to always be present in their various functions. She loved the Lord with all her heart and actively volunteered in her church community.

Lupita was greeted in heaven by her brother, Candelario Tapia, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Itiel Soriano, her sons, Moises Soriano and wife, Marizol, Abraham Soriano and wife, Lucero, her daughters, Natividad Soriano and husband, Israel, Cesiah Serrato and husband, Haniel, her grandchildren, Javier, Nayeli, Kimberly, Suriel, Adrian, Abel, Leinah, Felix, Clarissa, Nathan, Evelyn, Natalia, her parents, Candelario and Natividad Tapia, her siblings, Norma, Juan, Alberto, Armando, Ruben, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
