Maria M. Victorial, 85, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at her residence. Mass of Catholic burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Maria was born September 18, 1924 in Mercedes, TX to Wenceslao Macias and Apolonia Lopez de Macias. While living in Monterrey, Mexico, her first husband, Jose Mejia passed away in 1969, leaving her with 8 children to care for. She moved to Chicago to work, and eventually immigrated all her children to the United States. She dedicated her entire life to love and care for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maria was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; her sisters, Antonia, Micaela, Guadalupe and Wenceslada; brothers, Jose, Roberto and Manuel.

Maria is survived by her husband, Ramon Victorial of Chicago; daughters, Maria Martinez (Jaime), Blanca Sierra (Hugo), Lilia Garza, Juana Vallejo (Filemon), and Sonia Mejia of San Antonio; sons, Jose Mejia, Mario Mejia (Gina) of Laredo, and Gerardo Mejia (Chieko) of Laredo; her sisters, Margarita Llanas and Tomasa Garcia both of Monterrey, MX; more than thirty grandchildren; and more than thirty great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church.
