Marian Fisher

Marian Taylor Fisher, 70, of Waco, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009, in a Waco hospital.

Services will be 7 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2009 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., with the Rev. Gerald Dudley officiating. Visitation will held before service from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marian was born December 16, 1938 in Woodstock, MI., to Alonzo and Wilma Lane. She moved to Waco in 1982 and was married December 31, 1985 to Tony Fisher. He passed away March 27, 2009. Marian was a member of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marian enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, and crafting picture frames until she retired in 2007. She was an organ donor.

She is survived by four sons, John Taylor and his wife, Jean of Cocoa, FL., Jerry Taylor and wife, Donne of Cocoa, FL., Jason Taylor of Mercersburg, PA., and Jeff Taylor of Waco; daughter, Janet Akridge and husband, Buddy of Whitney; adopted daughter, Wanda Hinojosa of Waco;step-children, Luther Fisher Jr. and wife Melissa of Robinson, Tina Callanan and husband, Tim of Belize, Teresa Ezzell of Alabama and Jimmy Fisher of Gatesville; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Cindy Whitfield of Pensacola, FL; and brothers, Lonnie Lane of Pensacola, FL., and Charles Lane of Ohio.
