Marie Boyd

Marie Reed Boyd passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 100 years of age. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Waco Memorial Park.

Marie was born in Waco in January 16, 1914 to Thomas Jefferson Reed and Laura Willie (Gardner) Reed in Waco. She worked in medical records at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco and TSH Memorial Hospital in Marlin. She was a member of the Cogdell United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Boyd; son, Bryan Boyd; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, John R. Boyd and wife Cathy; daughter, Marilyn Gayle and husband Michael; two grandsons, Scott Boyd and wife, Thang and Josh Boyd; two granddaughters, Traci Jones and husband, Mykal, Lauri Dean and husband, Casey; grandson, Josh Boyd; and four great-grandchildren, Luke Jones, Emma Jones, Cole Jones, and Ty Dean.
