Mario Sanchez

Mario Sanchez, 50, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Providence Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 7, at OakCrest Funeral Home. Prayer services will be 7 p.m. Friday, August 6, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Mario was born in Waco August 19, 1959 to Hilario Sanchez and Frances Garcia Sanchez. He joined the Army in 1974 and served his country for 8 years. Mario was a loving father, awesome grandfather and friend. He had a great sense of humor, all around good guy and father figure to many young men. Mario was self employed contractor for most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, David and Andrew; and his sister, Patricia.

Mario is survived by his wife, Laura, who he married January 15, 1974; son, Mario Eric Sanchez and wife, Monica; daughters, Monica Sanchez and Vidal Segovia and Kristie Sanchez and Frank Rivera; his mother, Frances Sanchez; brothers, Edward Sanchez and wife, Carolyn and Johnny Sanchez; sisters, Rosa Gonzalez and husband, Martin and Connie Bautista and Guillermo Bautista; grandchildren, Shaun Garcia, Sadee Garcia, Reana Locke, Paul Sanchez, Raymond Ochoa, Abreyana Locke and Joe Erik Rivera.
