Mario Yglecias, 59 of Waco went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 22, 2004 at a local hospital. Friends and Family can Come by OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. on Monday and Tuesday from 8am to 5pm to pay their respect for Mario. The family will be present on Monday from 1pm to 3pm. There will be a private memorial service at his ranch at a later date.
Mario was born on April 11, 1945 to Vicente and Dominga (Gonzales) Yglecias. He loved ranching and had many animals. Mario spent most of his time at his ranch. He served in the Marine Corps from 1964 to 1970. Mario was preceded in death by his parents, brother Vicente Yglecias, JR. and son Mario Vicente Mendez Yglecias.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Mendez Yglecias of Waco; son, Erick M. Mendez Yglecias of Waco; sisters, Beatrice Hurtado and husband Joe of Waco, Elvera Ramirez of Pontiac, Mich., Dominga Rodriguez and husband Ralph of Waco, Dora Torres and husband John of Waco and Gloria Deleon of Waco; brothers, Arnulfo Yglecias and Jessie Yglecias and wife Elizabeth all of Waco; grandchildren, Daytin and Abigail Howard and Erick Matthew Mendez Jr. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
