Marjorie Cox Howle
February 14, 1922 – July 6, 2013
Marjorie Meriwether Cox Howle, 91, of Waco, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 6, 2013. A Visitation and Memorial Service in her honor will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco, Tx 76710 beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Rummage officiating.
Marjorie, was born on February 14, 1922 to Fredrick and Agnes Lewis Cox. She and her husband Rex W. Howle were married in November 1948, and enjoyed 64 years of marriage. She was a member of the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, and part of the Gideon Class. Marjorie was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Daughters of the American Republic, which she was very proud of. Marjorie was a artist extraordinaire, a fashion designer, a genealogist, and a antiquarian (collector and seller of antiques). She was loved by many friends and family and will not be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex W. Howle; and her parents Fredrick and Agnes Lewis Howle.
She is survived by her children, daughters, Beverly Soodhalter, Sharon Green and husband Jim; son, Bill Howle and wife Dianna; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grand children, and many relatives and friends.
