Marjorie Wentworth, 90, of Waco, passed away on December 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Marjorie was born March 5, 1933 in Galveston, Tx to Adam Sattler, Jr. and Marjorie Leigh Chimene. She graduated from Galveston Ball High School in 1950. She married Walter Jackson Wentworth, MD (Jack) on October 11, 1957.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Michael McCray Wentworth; and brother, Adam Sattler, III.
Survivors include her daughter, Lezlie Wentworth Hall; son, Walter Jackson Wentworth Jr.; grandsons, Adam Sattler, Milam Wentworth, Michael Cameron Wentworth, and Evan Hunter Hall; sister, Nancey Chamberlain; niece, Cheryl Huebel and her husband, Fred Huebel; and great-nephews, Cole and Kyle Wilkerson.
Marjorie loved to cook and prepare holiday meals for the family. She had a realtors license and was a volunteer in the Providence Hospital Gift Shop for many years.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
