Mark Szuch

Mark Steven Szuch, 73, of Waco passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 13, 6-8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco, TX.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco, TX, with Pastor Edwin Cashaw officiating.

Mark was born October 23, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan to Theodore and Iris Szuch.
He married his first wife, Linda Rose Szuch, and was mother to his children on June 19,
1970. After her passing, he married Linda Kay Szuch on August 1, 2015. He proudly served in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic for 20 years and as an aircraft supervisor at L3 Communications, retiring after 17 years. He had an impeccable work ethic earning him the nickname “Rocket Shoes”. He loved attending car shows, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his children, grandsons, and friends, as well as his beloved dogs Suzie Q and Elvis Presley. Mark never met a stranger and loved to swap stories of old cars and drag racing.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; Linda Szuch, siblings; Chris Szuch, Curtis (Pattie Juozunas) Szuch, Cheryl (Rick) Birr, and Dawn (Bill) Gatesy.

Survivors; His wife Linda Szuch, of Waco; daughter and son-in-law, Lori (K.C.)
Vaile of Shreveport LA; son, Steven Szuch and grandsons Collin and Ethan Szuch, of
Robinson; Patrick (Shelly) Morrow and grandsons Patrick Jr. Morrow and
Christopher Morrow of Robinson, Crystal (Andrew) Kephart of Dallas, brothers and
sister, Kevin (Kathy) Szuch, Ted (Cindy) Szuch, Kim (Tim) Millner, and Fred Szuch;
and a host of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
