Marshall Brewer

Marshall Houston Brewer, 94, of Waco, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Brewer will be available for viewing 1 - 7 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard. Visitation with the family will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

Marshall was born February 6, 1917 in Clarksville to Walter and Minnie Brewer. He married Edith May Brewer on December 24, 1935 and enjoyed 75 years of marriage. Marshall was employed with the Andrews Independent School District for 24 years. He was a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church, and was a resident of Andrews County for 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith and several sisters and a brother.

He is survived by three sons, Charles W. Brewer and wife Martha of Waco, Richard A. Brewer and wife Kathleen of McKinney, and James H. Brewer of Dallas; a sister, Gladys Winters of Mesquite; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
