Martha Seley, 87, of Waco, died Monday, September. 9, 2002, at a McGregor nursing home. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2002, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church with the Rt. Rev. Sam B. Hulsey, retired Bishop of Northwest Texas, and the Rev. Janne Osborne, Rector of St. Alban's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Seley was born September 21, 1914 and was a life-long Waco resident. She was married to her high school sweetheart and long-time Waco banker and attorney, Ira Winthrop Seley. He preceded her in death September 1, 1977. Mrs. Seley was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, St. Catherine's Guild, The Literary Guild, The Waco Junior League and The Sewing Club. A brother, Charles "Sonny" Witt, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Seley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Charlie Jones of McGregor; granddaughter, Ashley Jones of McGregor; sister, Elizabeth Pickens; nieces, Seley Fuller, Lyle Kay Masterson, Marie Tipton, Charleen Isbell, Martha Corley and Margie Shelnutt; sister-in-law, Lyle Seley Masterson and other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Jones, Leonard Fuller, Hayes Fuller, Frank Tipton, JoAlan Spears and Dr. David Lockhart.
