Marvin C. Bukowski, 84, of Waco, passed away Thursday, May 26th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Rosary will be recited at 6 pm Monday, May 30, at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco, Tx. with Fr. Joe Geleney presiding. Visitation will follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 10 am Tuesday, May 31st at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1401 Washington Avenue, Waco, Tx.
Marvin was born May 7th, 1932 in Bryan, TX to Joseph John Bukowski and Evelyn Elbrich. Marvin enjoyed stock car racing and traveling with his loving wife Margaret to Nascar races in various cities throughout the United States.
After high school, he was drafted in to the US Army and made it to rank of Staff Sgt., stationed in Ft. Sill Oklahoma. After his service in the Army, he worked for Red Ball Motor Freight and CF trucking retiring after more than 30 years in the trucking industry.
Marvin was a talented chef and his delicious barbecue could not be out done. He never missed an opportunity to laugh and to look for the humor in all of life’s events.
He deeply loved his wife Margaret of 50 years and cherished his four children. He never missed an opportunity to let his children know how much he loved them and how proud he was of them.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and his loving wife Margaret, sister, Peggy Bogan, and Grandson Paul J Bukowski. Marvin is survived by his son Paul and wife Jill of Hewitt, Tx., Pat Darsey and husband Jerry of Little Rock Arkansas, Phillip and his wife Terri of Crawford Texas, Perry and wife Debbie of Grapevine, Texas.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family is deeply appreciative of the hospice nursing staff of Providence Hospice Place for their deep love and care for Marvin. The hospice staff along with his loving family helped Marvin pass from this life into The arms of God.
