Marvin Stilwell

Marvin "Pops" Stilwell, Jr., of Eddy, passed away on October 15, 2024, peacefully in his home.

Marvin was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 01, 1953 to Marvin and Belva Stilwell. He lived most of his life in Killeen, Texas after serving in the United States Army. Marvin relocated to Eddy, Texas in 2014 when he met his sweetheart, Mattie. Marvin was given the nickname "Pops" by Mattie's family, who he spent the last decade of his life loving and adoring.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Sr. and Belva Stilwell; his brother, David Stilwell; and Mattie Brown.

He is survived in death by his sisters, Sue Gorslene and family, Cathy Scarberry and family, and Carla Phillips and family; brothers, Jim Stilwell and family and Tom Serwan and family; as well as his stepdaughters, Theresa Prescher and family, Terri Rockett and family, Tonya Brown and family, and Torre Spence and family. Marvin also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marvin will be remembered as a kind and sweet man who had a heart of gold and loved his family more than anything else.

At Marvin's request, no service will be held. The family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time.
