July 31, 1930 - August 8, 2021

Mary Ann Prochaska, 91, of Lorena, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Waco, with Fr. Rakshaganathan Selvaraj as celebrant. Graveside committal service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 14, at the Robstown Memorial Park in Robstown, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco, with Rosary led by Deacon Greg George at 7 p.m.

Mary Ann was born July 31, 1930, in Bluntzer, Texas to Lee Roy and Isabel (Bluntzer) Wright. After graduating from high school in 1947, she attended Our Lady of the Lake University. She married Frankie G. Prochaska on November 20, 1954 and worked for over 30 years in public works including the City of Hewitt, all while raising three children. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church where she volunteered in various ministries. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, dancing with Frankie, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Frankie; parents; sisters, Cecilia (Dede) Mills, Esilla (Sugar) Lawley, and Marcia; and brother, Lee Roy (Pete) Wright, Jr.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, James (Jimmy) Prochaska and wife, Donna, Elizabeth (Bebe) Young and husband, Gary, and Joseph (Joe); grandchildren, Justin and wife, Liz, Travis, Monica, Katie, Jonathan and wife, Lana, and Callan; and brother, Michael (Mike) and wife, Myrna.
